The standard right-angle bite valve I include with all of my TPU and silicone tubes is great for hiking with the bottle in your pack behind you since the tube doesn't need to twist very much for you to drink. If you've got the tube in front of you or in a bike cage, or you're wearing a full-face helmet, the angle can make it awkward. You might benefit from the straight bite valve!
It also has a wider on/off switch than the right-angle valve, which might be of use if you’re wearing gloves or have arthritis!
